Q: What if there is something specific I need, but you don't carry it in-store?
A: Black Hills Dance Boutique has relationships with many of the top industry dancewear brands. If there is something specific you need but can't find it in-store, we are more than happy to order what you need, saving you the hassle of ordering, shipping costs, and potential returns.
Q: Do you accept returns?
A: All returns will be handled within 14 days of purchase with the original receipt. Items must be in original packaging with tags attached. Shoes must show no signs of wear. Tights, select accessories, and sale items are final sale.
Q: What type of dance shoes do you carry?
A: We currently carry a variety of styles in tap, ballet, jazz, and lyrical shoes, both child and adult sizes. We are happy to special order any styles/brands we do not carry in-store including: character shoes, dance socks, dance sneakers, pointe shoes, and ballroom shoes.
At the beginning of the school year, we hold an annual pointe shoe fitting event that is open to all area dancers. This event is held in partnership with Amy Kenney, Master Fitter, from Boulder Body Wear.
Q: My dance studio requires a dress code. Can I find what I need at your store?
A: Black Hills Dance Boutique has done research and been in contact with all dance studios in the region so that we can best meet your needs. We want to make shopping for required dress code items convenient for you and currently stock specific colors of tights and leotards required by local studios.
Q: Do you travel to do dance shoe fittings/pop-up shops?
A: If your studio is located more than 75 miles from Rapid City, we offer group ballet, jazz, and tap shoe fittings. *Must be a group of 10 or more dancers. We will travel to you, bringing shoes in a variety of sizes to properly fit your dancers in quality dance shoes, with the option of also setting up a Black Hills Dance Boutique pop-up shop so that your dancers can get everything they need in one stop!

We also offer recital/performance pop-up shops. We'll set up a table in the lobby of your venue, providing a convenient way to purchase lots of fun recital gifts. Contact us for more information!
